Featuring the drawing class at Red House Gallery

 Figure drawing from a live model is historically an excellent way for artists to understand anatomy. It's more difficult than you would imagine. Not just drawing, but doing it within the time a person can hold a pose.

My "Hopeful Dryad" was in a corner in the room with a lot of drawings.I didn't have a figure to make my little dryad statue from, rather a tree which inspired me.

 I liked working with tinted paper and giving highlights as well as shadows to figures...when I have taken this class in the past.
