Woodland walk
What is that flower? Just sitting there pretty as you please beside the path and the stream? Any flowers which have been planted are supposedly indigenous to North Carolina!
I can enjoy them without knowing their names!

Bee watching
| Inn Dinging Room |
Bees flying in slow motion, 24 second video...
There were wild flowers below the Pisgah Inn perched on the side of Pisgah Mountain, with a great view out over the Blue Ridge. And a few bumble bees were busy diving into the flowers.
Today's Quote:
Sometimes our light
goes out, but is blown again into instant flame by an encounter with another
human being. Each of us owes the deepest thanks to those who have rekindled
this inner light.

Wild flowers
On the verge of the walkway around Lake Tomahawk yesterday, I spotted these tiny bright blue flowers.
OK, this is the best my iPhone camera could take. When I looked it up under wildflower identification, it's probably Baby Blue-Eyes, which blooms starting in March. The other blue flowers all wait to bloom a bit later. So that's my guess.
I usually share my flower photos over on Living in Black Mountain blog...but hey, my life in clay is affected by the flowers around me too.
