By 1957 I was in high school, and it looks like I was wearing stockings and low heels. But my little sis and I still wore ear muffs! St. Louis seldom had a white Christmas. For Dad to be dressed with his hat on, we must have been going to church, for one of his bi-annual visits.

This is a batch of angels that I've been making for 2016 Christmas season...there were also some without lipstick but with red streamers as decoration.
My little hummingbird ornaments have been reduced to $6 each.
Just look at all those old "war time" cars! I think this was Houston in the 40s

Christmas at the Osborne House in 1896. Queen Victoria’s marriage to the German Prince Albert introduced many Christmas traditions to Britain. Christmas trees became immensely popular after the ‘Illustrated London News’ published a drawing of the royal family celebrating around a decorated tree in 1848.
