A first goddess figure for the next year.  When the studio opens next week, I'll work on some stain on her...just to bring out the details.

Brigid is the Irish goddess of poetry, smithcraft, midwifery and healing, and whistling!

Geoff Bird at BMCA

Somehow I missed sharing the center pieces of the gallery exhibit over at the Center for the Arts...when I was taking photos a few weeks ago.  Geoff Bird is one of the teachers at the Clay Studio at BMCA, and makes beautiful, large expressive pieces.

A friend helped me by taking these with his phone, on the evening we were attending a play at the Center for the Arts.  Thanks. I seldom go out without my phone, so I was handicapped that evening.

Today's quote:
It isn’t more light we need, it’s putting into practice what light we already have. When we do that, wonderful things will happen within our lives and within our world.
