Third chapter of Dillsboro show

I love raku pieces, and have been following this potter's work for a while.

An Asheville potter, Kyle Carpenter

The big green engine appeared on the tracks right behind the booths, with a man on guard in case anyone got in the way!

Around noon the Great Smoky Mountain Express rolled in from Bryson City, about twelve passenger cars, a locomotive at each end, as well as a caboose at the end (between the cars and the last engine.  Tooting away and bringing lots of people, we decided to get in before them for lunch.

While waiting for our turn at lunch, we saw this lovely old home across the street.

Yes, there's one final chapter coming!

Today's Quote:
Today, more than ever before, life must be characterized by a sense of Universal responsibility, not only nation to nation and human to human, but also human to other forms of life.

  1. I must share how disappointed we were that the Jared House restaurant was "closed for the season." They sure missed a crowd of hungry customers!

  3. As you can just barely see on the left-most ones, there's a length of dark painted/stained wood behind the pieces, to which they were glued. This is the ceramicist, (C.F. Tomchik I think) who told me about E-6000 glue! It must work for her!
