Enjoying summertime blooms

I love the cascades of day lilies here at our apartment complex!

Ok the last one is a day lily.
But what are those lovely purple ones? I wonder if they're related to asters....

Here's Stokesia which I found on line (Thanks for comment giving the name, PotterMiller)
Rufino Osorio: Stokesia laevis – Stokes-Aster

I was hoping you could identify the purple ones for me...

And I even wait impatiently for autumn, then the first snow. Mmm, I think it's the first everything perhaps that I like!

What a beautiful day lily border! The purple flower might be scabiosa -- or it might not.

Yay PotterMiller, it looks very much like Stokesia (thanks to the internet!) I'll add the one I found onto the end of this post, can't post photos in the comments section here.
