Still creating pottery

A shapely mug with a shapley damsel resting upon it...an artist's painting of Monarch butterfly.

A slightly larger size mug with a Monarch-like painting...showing both sets of wings.

To see how I paint my Monarch-like butterflies, check here.  I don't claim these are exactly right renditions of Monarchs, it's hard enough to just put all that glaze into details that are close.
Maybe with more practice I'll get closer to our almost non-existant Monarchs!

First version of these mugs looked like this.

Thought for the day (true even more so for butterflies!)

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was greater than the risk it took to blossom.
