Still creating pottery

A shapely mug with a shapley damsel resting upon artist's painting of Monarch butterfly.

A slightly larger size mug with a Monarch-like painting...showing both sets of wings.

To see how I paint my Monarch-like butterflies, check here.  I don't claim these are exactly right renditions of Monarchs, it's hard enough to just put all that glaze into details that are close.
Maybe with more practice I'll get closer to our almost non-existant Monarchs!

First version of these mugs looked like this.

Thought for the day (true even more so for butterflies!)

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was greater than the risk it took to blossom.

  1. glad you are still getting your pottery made while you prepare for your move. Thanks for the tutorials.

  2. these are so utterly perfect, and good luck with the move!

Looking forward to hearing from you! Since I didn't know the 1000+ people who supposedly looked at my blog the other day, I'm back to moderating comments. If that doesn't help, I don't know why blogger doesn't have a filter that stops this hacking...
