Some folks (not in the USA) got to see a partial eclipse of the full moon earlier in the day/night.
I missed seeing the moon at all, because Black Mountain was host to many lovely clouds, and occasional rain. However...she said with a Cheshire Cat grin, I took photos of the moon both on the 3rd and the 5th, when it actually woke me up shining in my window. It doesn't often do that, so I did my grin, grabbed the Nikon CoolPix, and went out on the balcony to get a clear shot.
It's amazing that on Aug. 3, it looked this full. But it was really humid, so there's a great fuzziness to it thanks to mountain air.
August 5, with clouds scudding along, the moon was much brighter. And still 2 days away from full. I was happy, and this is maybe the best moon photo I've taken yet...so far!
Nice shots! We've only had fleeting glimpses and by the time I get the camera, the clouds have hidden her again.
