Leaf Peepers

The season of looking at autumn foliage will begin in a few weeks in the highest elevations (aka the Blue Ridge Parkway and Mount Mitchell.)

So the Leaf Peepers will be coming to town.

Last Sunday was warm but not hot, and I spied this smart person (and dog) who had visited the park and hung a hammock in which to enjoy the afternoon.

Most of the ducks and geese had retreated after breakfast. After all, people walk their dogs all day around Lake Tomahawk.
The two Canada Geese are hiding by the tree.  Yesterday (when I didn't have my camera) there were several dozen by the side of the lake!

A couple of mallards, were diving for whatever they love in the muck.

And there are 2 ducks and a rock in this pic.

A second orange/red berry. The first were on the dogwoods on the right in my first photo above.

We won't be out at the Tailgate market this Saturday.  The possibility of gusty winds bodes against having pottery under a tent.

Today's Quote:

There is an endless net of threads throughout the universe. The horizontal threads are in space. The vertical threads are in time. At every crossing of the threads, there is an individual, and every individual is a crystal bead. And every crystal bead reflects not only the light from every other crystal in the net, but also every other reflection throughout the entire universe. Rig Veda
