Bringing light into the world seems very much a part of birthing...bringing a new life into the world. In Spanish you say "dar a luz" to give birth, give to light.

Those are really lovely. I have one of those candles in the gallery, they really do look real... and much safer. I don't have to worry about blowing it out and it even has a timer.
