Drink anyone?

Some kids, giving a drink to a lamb, wearing spring coats, outside in a field.

That's the Sepia Saturday prompt this week.  Sorry, I'll have to stretch the connection again.

Go see what the other Sepians have come up with over here, and go click on the names at the bottom of the page.

Some of my designs for a drink or two...

And the critters I used to have in my life.  (Yes, I was definitely headed toward the Old Cat Woman title.)

And there are a few of them not in this photo!  This is a winter scene.  But notice I already was putting pottery around in the garden on my patio.

Same patio in the summertime.  No clue what most of the plants were, but they loved getting outside for 6 months or so.

My connection for Sepia Saturday?  Animals.  Things to drink out of.  Outside...I know that's really stretching it.

  1. Love your pottery...specially the cup with the ladybug. Handsome cats...do you still have them?

    1. Sorry to say, all of these are now gone. I've got one now. Thanks for the pottery comment too!

  2. I've always wondered how plants survive the harsh winters over your way. Here in Australia we just have to worry about ours expiring from summer heat and dought.

    1. Some plants overwinter outside, but house plants not so much. I am now just a container gardener. Do you have to water plants to keep them healthy?

    2. Yes, which can be difficult, especially if we want to go away for summer holidays.

  3. Four cats-is that the most you have had at one time? I like the cups, especially the one with the ladybug since they are a favorite insect of mine because they help control the unwanted insects in my vegetable garden.

    1. Nope, there were 2 more behind the camera. This must have been their first time out of the apartment for a while. Thanks for the pottery comment!

  6. A bit of "plum" glaze on the rims that runs into the "raspberry" glaze gives that purple. I love it!

  9. Love the purple cup with white flowers the best. But I can't resist the aqua of that next cup.

  10. As Aunt Miriam says, there are no rules to Sepia Saturday. Mugs and cats work too. I like your tree motif mug.

  11. Pottery mugs are beautiful. I think tea or coffee tastes so much better from a favoured cup. I have some pottery pieces around the garden, I like it.

  12. Love the pottery! I keep changing my mind as to which is my favourite! All are lovely!

I also liked the fence design.

  15. You are obviously a talented artisan! Lovely mugs/cups - and I like your prompt picture 'stretch'. A drink from a bottle, a cup, or a mug - same difference! I like the flowered mug, but the ladybug is a close second! I'm a cat person, too. We had 3 at one time, but now have none. I'm also a bird person, however - parakeets - so not sure we'll be getting another cat?

  16. I always did love Sepia Saturday best when there was not a theme, just an old photo and new thoughts about it. Your cups look great!
