I too love gardenias, has it been hot where you are, sure has been here, home depot has fooled me labeling two as hardy plants and now that they have bloomed I know they are not what I thought, I am sure they cant' make it in the ground over the winter.
Yep, my neighbor put a gardenia in the ground a couple of years ago...didn't overwinter. They were nice in FL through winters though. I know mine is rootbound, so next year it will need a bigger pot. But yes, it's gotten pretty hot already this summer! Thank heavens for afternoon showers when they happen!

DeleteOh so pretty with that sunlight :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Gary...I jsut brought the other begonia inside also, that sunlight may be pretty but it can cook a plant.
DeleteAll of the blooms look great. Your lily reminds me of one of mine but it won't bloom for a couple of weeks.
