Determination time

It's finished! Yay!

I'll show you the 3 stages...

Finished (More views at bottom)

Glazed waiting to be fired:

Dried "greenware" waiting to be bisqued:

More views follow of the finished sculpture.

I'm determined.  Tomorrow I'll show up, and see what I can accomplish, and practice.

Today's Quote:

Reverence the highest, have patience with the lowest. Let this day's performance of the meanest duty be thy religion. Are the stars too distant, pick up the pebble that lies at thy feet, and from it learn the all.
Margaret Fuller

  1. wonderful, how do you pick it up, can't wait to see the finished piece fired.

    1. Can pick it up by any of the trunks. And this is it, finished.

  2. Slow and steady wins the race! I really like the way the trees entwine and support each other. It's a perfect integration of glaze and form is another example of the sum of the parts being greater than the whole.

  3. Wow, that came out great! You must be very happy with it.

  4. So much personality in that piece!

  5. It's obvious you put a lot of time into that. Great result.

Looking forward to hearing from you! Since I didn't know the 1000+ people who supposedly looked at my blog the other day, I'm back to moderating comments. If that doesn't help, I don't know why blogger doesn't have a filter that stops this hacking...
