I don't have any pottery coming out of kilns...but got back to work yesterday doing some new things.
Some pottery waiting to be unloaded after a glaze firing.
Students have been chugging along, and the master of the kilns has been conducting the concerts of bisque firing and glaze firings.
that kiln looks like a real work horse
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI am sure that kiln is working hard. Pretty pottery! Happy March! Enjoy your day, have a great weekend!
The 2 kilns in the studio do run, almost daily (though the heat is mostly at night). The one on the left with the glazed pots is surprisingly not quite full. Usually another shelf would bring it right to the top with pots...must have needed to have something finished at a certain date. Or perhaps kiln master already unloaded his own pots from a top shelf. Yep, I bet that's why it looks only 3/4 full.
ReplyDeleteIt must be so exciting and nerve racking, waiting to see if the kiln had made magic -- or something else.
