color choices

Here's a mug for a puppy is waiting to be fired, and will have a nice (what color??) coat for the little guy.

A mermaid on the handle of another mug...wonder what colors I'll use on her.  Probably something blue green for the mug...kind of sea color.

That's all I can think of to share on this summery day.

    1. Thanks Gary, not only for appreciation, but for putting the bug in my bonnet to give inspiration!

  2. Barbara, I am thinking of going to clay club tonight...not sure but would you want to go? If it works out on my end I'd love the company!

    1. Oops, didn't get back on line most of yesterday. Sorry I missed ya, and Clay Club!

  3. Love the mermaid, those are great mugs. What is the Mexico glaze below? I like that shade of orange.

    1. The orange is from using a stain of red iron oxide before dipping into the Mexico glaze (turquoise). I then just rubbed the Mexico down a bit after it was dry to give the hightlights of orange. Thanks for asking, I have no trade secrets.
