Red Moon window house

A couple of my spirit houses have moon windows.  I guess I like the idea of looking at the moon, or the moon looking at me.

A star shaped window and open door as well as lots of skylights...

And the lid, er roof, comes off too!

Spirit houses are only for good spirits, of course...those that protect and welcome all the beauty of nature to your home or garden.

Quote for today:

To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion....In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony.
William Henry Channing

  1. so it a stupid question ask if you ever put candles in there?

    1. Of course you can put candles inside. Sounds like a real good idea!

  2. Hi Barbara, this is absolutely lovely!!! I also enjoyed your quote today very much. Thanks for stopping by. I'm happy you like my photo of the Dutchman's Breeches enough to want to add it to your collection. Please go ahead and copy it, I'd be delighted for you to do so and thank you so much for asking.

  3. This is wonderful to see. When I was teaching I would make cottages with windows and open doors. I really liked making them and adding features like I was a carpenter with door frames etc. I really like what you have made here.

  4. They are, and this is a lovely example of one. Very delightful.

Looking forward to hearing from you! Since I didn't know the 1000+ people who supposedly looked at my blog the other day, I'm back to moderating comments. If that doesn't help, I don't know why blogger doesn't have a filter that stops this hacking...
