By the end of today, a new president will have been elected.
And new local politicians for offices that impact my life, more than a president will.
It's a day of hope for many of us.
It will be a day of disappointment tomorrow for many.
What an awful election season this has been.
I'm not going to decide who wins...that's up to those folks out there voting today.
I do remember living in Florida when chads held up the results of the 2000 Presidential Election for months, and finally a Supreme Court decision put Bush in office just before the following fall's crisis of 9/11. I remember wondering if our climate conscious candidate had won, how Al Gore would have handled it.
Life is so full of "paths not taken" isn't it?
Today's Quote:
"Sooner or later, we will have to recognize
that the Earth has rights, too, to live without pollution. What mankind must
know is that human beings cannot live without Mother Earth, but the planet can
live without humans."
— Evo Morales
The end is in sight . . .
ReplyDeleteI love the quote. I also wonder what if?
