A Jar of roses, with or without a lid

I finally made a pot to fit a lid which has been kicking around for a few years.  Crazy? Yep.

And then I couldn't decide whether I like it with the lid or without.  Geese, make up your mind, woman!

The painting was done by Mayco Stoke N Coat glaze with brushes, and Mayco Designer Liners, then a thin coat of matt clear. The rest of the pot has satin white on it. These are not decals!

The lid has the same glazes on it.

What do you think?

Today's quote:

Of any stopping place in life, it is good to ask whether it will be a good place from which to go on as well as a good place to remain.  Mary Catherine Bateson

  1. I like it both with and without. The thing about a lid is that it gives you choices!
    Dynamite painting too!

  2. That is lovely! To fill with dried roes petals?

  3. It's 8.5 inches tall with lid. Opening is 4 inches diameter.

  4. With. There may be some uses without but it would be nice to have the choice. It's lovely.
