Anton Otto Fischer = On the Yardarm furling the mainsail
Sharing with Monday Murals
16th-century watercolor illustration by Lucas de Heere
Art is not a luxury! Art arises from one's depths or it is not art but kitsch! Art, for me, is and was my digging tool for Meaning, for Truth. . . my own truth that may speak to your truth. Art then becomes a religious, a spiritual act, not in any sectarian sense but as a witness to a religious attitude to sheer being, to existence as such, being Supremely Meaningful.
- Frederick Franck, from the booklet Pacem In Terris.

Beautiful art and mural. I love the mural with the bears! Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
ReplyDelete...may there always be art in your life!
ReplyDeleteNice quotes. I kept a sheet of the O'Keefe stamps for many years. They're probably in a box of stuff from when I sold my back house and property.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day!
I love each and every selection you've made for this post! A great way to start the week!
ReplyDeleteI read Franck as a teenager and he resonated with me.
