Going for clay

When you park at Highwater Clay in Asheville, NC, there's that old mother river, the French Broad, just chugging along next to you.

It was such a beautiful day, we had to go take a look at the Canada Geese who were having some fun out near a log.

  2. What a gorgeous day to drive to Asheville. Isn't it wonderful how the French Broad finally got cleaned up? Should be an example for the rest of the country. The picture of the three friends makes me think of Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" Don't worry 'bout a thing cause every little thing gonna be all right.

  3. When I was teaching art, all my clay came from Minnesota. Iowa has a lot of clay but it doesn't seem to be process for sale. We do have a brick factory south of where we live that makes and sells bricks all over the U.S. The clay is brought up by an auger machine from the river banks along the river. It was a nice outing for you to go buy clay.
