My three little kittens, er granddaughters...

...have gone on their way.  With parents of course.  I had such delight in seeing them again, the three daughters and my middle son and his wife.  They live about 8 hours away now, and brought the entire Thanksgiving feast to my door, er kitchen.

We managed to squeeze into my small space...girls are like puppies or kittens, just tumble from here to there.
Life before smart phones meant a lot more eye contact between grandmothers and children.  But I'm certainly not complaining.  We played Sorry a couple of times, and that really showed me their characters!

One, Two, Three and all wings and legs were carved away from the smallish 10 pound bird.  Just right!
The feast was spread out and finally Chef Michelle got to sit down next to one of her daughters
More foodie pictures...this was the very best stuffing I've ever had!

face it, people eating aren't looking at the camera~!

We cleaned up the kitchen rather fast, for such a great amount of cooking!  Then went for a tour of a local Gingerbread (er National) Contest display.  I'll share those photos (mostly of my family, not the Gingerbread Houses) tomorrow.

We tried visiting the 3 cats (kittens at heart) who I'm feeding each day while their owners are in FL, but the cats proved to be shy of little girls.   The girls were disappointed.

Today's Quote:

Cast off pretense and self-deception and see yourself as you really are.

  1. It looks like a wonderful setting with family moving in and bringing food. Three granddaughters and lots of energy of they young. It is always fun to see what people prepare for the day.
