Archaic or Neuvo-Primitive

I couldn't figure out how to describe these pots in words.

I'm telling FaceBook people they are Neuvo Primitive.

I've had fun making them, though it takes quite a lot more time than a simple cylinder.

    1. Gracias, Marga. A pretty good translation of your blog, since my Spanish is pretty rusty! Second time today I've seen the bracelet with the butterfly. Someone at the clay studio where I work had copied the design for their little pot, and I noticed it sitting on a shelf in the kiln room.

    1. Thanks, Vicki...I like how tactile they are, and spent most of the afternoon fingering them.

  4. No matter what you call them, I really like these. I love pottery that is fun to feel as well as to look upon.

  5. Barbara -- these Neuvo-Primitives are spectacular! Colors and textures along with their designs reminds me of folk art. They are what I used to call a certain antique piece a "stand alone." --- barbara
